5 ways of enjoying your staycation

Spending your holidays at home doesn’t necessarily have to mean those days will e boring and dull. Quite the contrary. By spending your vacation at home you get to enjoy all the comfort and commodity only this space can provide. Besides, this is a less expensive option. Learn about 5 tips you simply cannot go without to enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

Outdoor spaces are our favourites

Pool, garden, balcony or terrace are where you can, and should, enjoy the outdoors. Exterior spaces are most valued during the hotter months, day and night. Therefore, enjoy them to the fullest. Have a garden picnic, relax and take a nap (why not?). If you’re going to be staying at home during your holiday, make the most from it.

But your indoor spaces also have a lot to offer

You can also enjoy your indoor spaces to relax. Listen to a full album by your favourite band, get your reading up to date. Light some candles or incense. The rule is rest and relax! Remember that although you are at home you are still on vacation. Make them count!

Create healthy routines

Use your vacation time to create routines for a healthy lifestyle, something you can maintain when you return to work. Taking long walks in the morning or at the end of the day, do a yoga or swimming class during lunch time. Holidays are great for exploring several alternatives without the pressures and stress of your every day life.

Be a tourist in your own town

Enjoy your staycation to visit your town, as if you were a tourist. Enjoy the façades, visit museums, take a stroll down the streets and have lunch in a typical restaurant. It is only with this curious and attentive eye that you will be able to unlock the secrets of your town. This is a great opportunity to do it. And the best of it all is, at the end of the day you get to return to the comfort of your own home.

Do what you love

Since you are home, take some time and spend it with people you rarely see, or do things you wish you could do throughout the year. Visit relatives, prepare a nice dinner, or devote some time to decorating your home, or taking care of your garden, or doing other activities you enjoy doing within your comfort spaces
