Cacti at home
Cacti, with their exuberant shapes, do not go by unnoticed. They are very special plants that have developed adaptations to extreme conditions such as the dry desert environment. They have small branches, and some stems are photosynthetic and accumulate water.
Many people do not have gardens or plants for fear of the maintenance they may need, so this is one of the advantages of cacti: they need very little of our attention and are always beautiful.
For a garden or balcony, you can combine various forms of cacti creating a green and very appealing space, or simply repeat the same species, creating a sense of rhythm.
This example in Mexico shows you how to create a fence or hedge of cacti.
The Majorelle garden in Morocco invested in diversity, creating a surprising effect in contrast to the blue of the house.
Cacti can be used indoors and outdoors. If you place them in a non-pierced pot outside, be sure to have a good layer of expanded clay on the bottom and a geotextile, so that when it rains the cactus roots do not rot with the excess water.
These plants also need very little watering. In the summer, water your cactus only every 15 days.
Simple isn’t it?! Try this trend that will transform your space.
